SUP Paddle Fitness – £25 per person
SUP is a fun all body work out which has more than physical rewards, it can also restore your balance and clams your spirt.
Our own Physical Training Instructor, Dan has developed a programme that will complement sporting teams or activity clubs training regimes or provide an invigorating form of exercise for those who are keen to try something new. This is no gimmick it really works! Some of the fittest athletes are surfers and paddle boarders. The main muscle groups that are activated during a SUP paddle session are your mid back muscles (Latismus Dorsi), Shoulders (deltoids), Arms (triceps and biceps) and abs.
A typical programme would be 4-6 weeks duration. We would aim to achieve the following:
- Aerobic training
- Establish flexibility and institute warm up / cool down strategies.
- Improving cardio and basic muscular strength.
- Start with 45 minute sessions building up to 90 minute sessions
- Correct your technique through slow and focused paddling.
Different exercises are performed on the board whilst floating on water, your balance will be challenged and fun guaranteed! The intensity of each exercise is increased, ensuring an effective workout with many health and fitness benefits.
